Another busy week for Burgess Hill Runners kicked off in style as 32 runners took part in the aptly named Steyning Roundhill Romp league race.

Darryl Webb lead the team home finishing in 3rd place overall with a fantastic time of 34:42 for the tricky 5.5 mile course. He was backed up by Jason Collett (37:14), Mark Nicholls (38:00) and Joe Carey (40:39) who finished 13th, 16th and 41st respectively.

Leading the ladies home was Sharona Harrington in 45:49 (14th female) with Emma Buckland (49:52) and Liz Carter (50:36) not far behind. These fantastic performances and turnout meant BHR finished joint first for the day, along with two other well represented running clubs.

On Saturday morning, several keen Burgess Hill Runners ventured to the local 5k Parkrun events and PBs were set by Alan Fry (course PB of 21:50 at Clair Park), Lindsey Woods (31:12 at Clair Park), Leigh Smith (course PB of 21:04 at Hove), Hannah Watkins (27:18 at Hove) and Carole Mills (27:06 at Tilgate).
