Liverpool star Harry Kewell can draw upon the experience of 'playing under great managers' says Matt Harrold

Crawley Town striker Matt Harrold believes new head coach Harry Kewell's experience of playing under for some of the biggest names in football management can help Reds.

He is sure bringing in the Champions League winner who has a wealth of experience at the highest level will be good for the club.

Harrold believes the Australian can draw upon the experience of the managers he has played for as a player (who include Terry Venables, Gerard Houllier and Rafa Benitez).

He said: “He does not have experience in running a Football League team.

“But I think it’s a great appointment and it should bring plenty of excitement around the club.

“He has a great pedigree and has played under some great managers and is a big name.

“He played in the Champions League, which means a lot. It’s a coup for Crawley!”
