Two Hurstpierpoint College cricketers are preparing for some of the most important matches of their lives as they bid for a professional career.
Tim Moses (18) and Leo Cammish (16) were recently assessed on tour in South Africa and have now been told they are in the 2013 Sussex Academy squad.
For Moses this season could decide whether he is offered a professional contract. “The competition is fierce but that is what motivates you to do well,” hge said. “If you want to be playing in front of a few thousand people every week at a fantastic ground, then you work for it.”
Leo has had a whirlwind few months and said: “I was told that I had been accepted on Christmas Day, which was a very nice present. I’ve only been part of the Academy for just over a month but realise what an extremely professional set-up it is.”
