New Crawley Town manager John Gregory praised his defence and the team in general for their passion and commitment in getting a draw away to Bristol Rovers in the FA Cup.
He stressed this was a difficult place to go to and was proud of the way his team played.
The former Aston Villa boss said: “We defended very, very well and played with a lot of passion which is my first requirement really. We just need to add a bit of quality and improve on certain things and that takes time to really bed in.
“In our last eight league matches we’ve got just one goal which is pathetic. We have to improve on that and that’s down to me to make sure it does improve.
“Let’s hope it’s a nice sexy tie and we’ve got to make sure we get through. It’s not going to be easy. John Ward, who I’ve known for many tears, has really got his team fired up.”
