Two goals conceded in the last 15 minutes cost Bridges the three points at Jubilee Field on Saturday.
Bridges went ahead in the first half looking the much better team and held on to the lead until late in the second half before Leatherhead equalised and then added the winner.
Most of the chances were being created by Bridges and falling to Abu Touray, Tony Garrod and Tim Rivers but the game remained goalless until the 30th minute.
Both side’s goalkeepers were called into action in the opening exchanges to keep the score at 0-0.
A very short back-pass to the Leatherhead goalkeeper, enabled Garrod to chase the ball and from a very acute angle slotted the ball into the net for a well deserved goal.
After a lengthy stop for the injured Leatherhead goalkeeper Tom Wellham, both Ian Draycott and Mohamed Eisa had good enough chances when clean through to level the score but the shots went wide.
The first half was good for Bridges but it all seemed to change in the second half when Leatherhead made three early substitutions and took control of the game.
After 75 minutes a foul by Tim Rivers, gave substitute Matt Smart a free-kick to cross the ball, which found the head of another substitute Theo Fairweather-Johnson whose glancing header found the back of the net.
Within minutes another foul by Tim Rivers, gave Leatherhead topgoalscorer Tom Bradbrook the chance to rifle a 25-yard shot straight into the goal, giving goalkeeper Martin Grant no chance.
Leatherhead now showed why they are second in the South Division with some excellent play but failed to score further as Owen Roberts and Marlon Maxwell continued to play well in central defence.
