Bridges gained their first home league win of the season, beating Corinthian Casuals 3-2 when Williams Peauroux scored the winner from the penalty spot to round off a jubilant 100th appearance.
Two other players scored their first of the season for Bridges, Alex Parsons’ opener after just six minutes being his first for the club.
It came from a cross by debutant Kemoy Halton under pressure and Parsons’ stooped header was helped on its way by the faintest of nicks by Casuals’ Danny Dudley.
Within two minutes though Casuals were level when Steve Lang’s free-kick went in but despite Bridges’ claim for a handball and foul, referee Matt Eva signalled a goal.
Jamie Byatt burst through and made no mistake to put the visitors in front after 31 minutes.
But the lead lasted just two minutes again as Abu Touray crossed for Marlon Maxwell to head home his first of the campaign.
Both sides continued to attack and the game could have gone either way, but Bridges defended well.
Samson Djimah negated the threat of Byatt, Nigel Brake made a couple of timely interceptions and Maxwell won virtually everything in the air.
Dudley, however, was booked for dissent when Bridges were awarded a 62nd minute penalty. Lee Carney played a neat through ball for Touray, who looked to be blatantly taken out by substitute Prince Ofori, a decision hotly disputed by the Casuals players. Peauroux slammed the ball home from the spot.
Touray, who looked lively throughout, came close with a cross/shot and then shot wide after being sent clean through in added time, but Casuals didn’t really bother Grant again and Bridges held on for that elusive first home league success.
