Worthing Football Club’s Ryman League South Division fixture at South Park this evening has been postponed.
Park called a 12.30pm pitch inspection and the surface was too waterlogged for the game to go ahead.
Rebels, who picked up a 3-0 away success at Chatham Town on Saturday, were looking to make it back-to-back wins on the road.
A win for Worthing would have seen them go level on points with Dorking Wanderers in second place.
However, Rebels will now have to wait until Saturday when they make the trip to Whitstable Town.
Worthing joint boss Gary Elphick was a little frustrated to see the game called off and said: “Obviously after Saturday’s win it would have been nice to keep that momentum going.
“This week was always going to be a tough one for us, though, with three tricky away games, so it may work out for us.
“If we had won we could have gone joint second with Dorking Wanderers but we’ll just recharge our batteries and go again Saturday.
“Fortunately with the 3G, we are not too many games behind so the players can take a well-earned rest.”
