AFC Sudbury travel to Woodside Road on Saturday, April 1 for a Ryman League Premier Division clash with fans’ able to pay whatever fee they wish at the turnstiles.
Worthing currently have the third highest step-three level average attendance with chairman George Dowell seeing this gesture as a thanks for the support all season.
He said: “The supporters have been phenomenal this season. After a long spell out of the Ryman Premier Division, it’s certainly been a rollercoaster season but the supporters have backed the team through thick and thin.
“This just a small gesture of the club’s appreciation of that unwavering support.”
Having been involved with Eastbourne Borough, Havant & Waterlooville, Sutton United to name a few at non-league level, Worthing joint manager manager feels the club’s fanbase is one of the best he’s seen at this level.
Elphick said: “It’s a chance for the club to say thanks for the support the season. Worthing has one of the best fanbases I’ve seen in my time in non-league football - they’ve been great in my time here, so this is just giving something back to them.”
