Crawley based Carl Cox P&H Motorcycles Ducati team made a perfect start at Brands Hatch for the opening round of the 2014 Ducati TriOptions Cup, taking four podium positions and leading the Championship.

Having shown a strong pace throughout pre-season testing, Leon Morris and Dennis Hobbs came into the event confident they could secure top results in their bid for the 2014 title.

With dry and sunny, albeit slightly chilly, weather gracing the Kent circuit, the P&H team were quickly up to speed on their new Ducati 899 Panigale machines during the Free Practice sessions.

Improving their times considerably for qualifying, Hobbs secured the debut pole position of the year while Morris joined him on the front row in third.

As torrential rain arrived for the opening race, a mix of standing water and spilt fuel made conditions treacherous but Hobbs enjoyed a fantastic start to build a healthy lead, however team-mate Morris began chipping away, passing Dennis with three laps to go to make it a P&H Motorcycles 1-2 at the chequered flag.

As dry and warm conditions greeted riders for the second and final race of the weekend, Leon and Dennis began in pole and second position on the grid before finishing second and Dennis third, meaning the pair are first and second in the championship.
