Mike Jones returns for Crawley Town today at Leyton Orient as he replaces injured captain Josh Simpson.
The midfielder, who missed Monday’s 1-1 draw with Doncaster, makes his 28th Crawley start in place of Simpson, who is awaiting the results of a scan on the ankle injury he sustained in Monday’s match.
Richie Barker’s Reds are looking for a first win since New Year’s Day, in only their fourth league match in five weeks. Meanwhile, Leyton Orient have an opportunity to make up for the disappointment of missing out on a trip to Wembley, The O’s were beaten on penalties by Southend in the Johnstone Paint Torphy semi-final on Wednesday night.
Russell Slade’s side have moved ahead of Crawley in the League One table, but The Reds, currently in 14th could leapfrog them with a win.
Ex-Reds Lloyd James and Charlie MacDonald start for The O’s, while former loanee Shaun Batt starts on the bench after his move to the Matchroom Satdium from Millwall in January. Slade makes three changes to the side which lost on Wednesday for today’s game.
