Burgess Hill Town FC make the trip to Hythe Town this Saturday as the new Ryman League season kicks off.

Manager Ian Chapman is pleased with how pre-season has gone and the new signings brought into the Club during the summer.

Hill completed their pre-season on Saturday with a 4-0 win over Sussex County League champions East Preston but is expecting a tough game away at Hythe.

He said “Hythe away on Saturday is a very difficult first game, but in saying that I do feel they are in a group of about 12 sides that could be in the shake up this season, it is a very open league”

“For ourselves it is all about improving season after season so we would really like to finish higher than last season’s 6th place. I do feel we have a squad to achieve that but we will have to obviously be more consistent than last year.”
