Lewis Carey - 8 - Made two good early saves to deny omar Bugiel and two fine diving saves to keep out an Brannonn O’Neill.

Craig Stone - 6 - Consistent display from the ex-Gillingham man at right back.

Jack Evans - 7 - Kept everything out at left-back as part of the four-man defence.

Ryan Worrall - 7 - 19-year-old Eastbourne youth product always looking for an opening had three shots from long-range which were all close.

Ian Simpemba (capt) - 7 - Typically solid display in central defence for ex-Crawley Town skipper before lifting Sussex Senior Cup for second time,

Callum Buckley - 7 - Solid in central defence, made timely clearance 23

Gavin McCallum- 8 - Made a good cross into area which wasn’t made the most of. Almost set up a goal for Jamie Taylor with another cross.

Nathan Collier - 6 - Hard working display in Eastbourne’s midfield.

Nat Pinney - 9 - My Man of the Match by a long way - Good chance just before half-time, firing narrowly over bar from left. Scored the winning goal with tremendous individual effort. Great work muscled into area to set up chance for Taylor. Sent-off at end for second yellow card.

Jamie Taylor - 7 - Fired over bar from inside area early early in second half and again from Nat Pinney near the end.

Elliott Romain - 6 - Lively and held ball up well but did not create a lot.

Subs: Worthington came on in place of Worrall for last 10mins, Jake Sheppard, replaced Jack Evans for last 7 mins. Kane Haysman replaced Jamie Taylor for last 4mins

Worthing:

Jack Fagan - 6 - Did not have that much to do in a game of few on-target shots. Unable to stop Pinney from scoring the winning goal after he ran through their defence.

Will Hendon - 8 - Enjoyed a good game keeping Eastbourne at bay at right-back and won the official Man of the Match award.

Steve Metcalf (capt) - 5 - Allowed Pinney to make his runs into the area, not a great game from the Rebels captain.

Matt Axell - 6 - Did not have any great impact in central midfield.

Gary Elphick - 7 - Good block to stop a shot by the powerful Nat Pinney early in second half

Corey Heath - 6 - Good general display in the heart of the defence.

Zach Newton - 7 - Created a good chance for Ben Pope just before half-time through good run into area. Put in some good crosses.

Brannon O’Neill - 8 - Took fine free-kick on 30 minutes which looked to be going in but for great save by Lewis Carey. Another free-kick on 72 minutes forced good low save from Carey.

Ben Pope - 7 - Had an early shot saved by Carey, nearly scored but fired over from the left just before half-time.

Omar Bugiel - 7 - Great work down right nearly set up and scored early goals.

Harvey Sparks - 6 - Plenty of running down the left - forced Carey into action with a volley.

Subs: Mike Waller came on for Harvey Sparks for last 5 minutes.
