Crawley Town’s League One match at home to Carlisle United today (Saturday) has been postponed following two pitch inspections.
Ground staff, club members and volunteers have been working tirelessly on the Broadfield pitch all morning but the referee called it off with concerns over player safety.
It is the third Saturday in a row that Reds have seen their game postponed because of a waterlogged pitch in what has been a deeply frustrating spell.
John Gregory’s side were already playing catch up having played the fewest games in League One (25), and going into today’s round of matches they already have as many as six games in hand on some of their rivals.
Their next game is now due to be on Tuesday night against Tranmere at the Broadfield.
