Burgess Hill Town progress in FA Cup

Burgess Hill Town progressed through to the 2nd Qualifying Round of the FA Cup and picked up the £3000 prize money, but the performance wasn’t up to Manager Ian Chapman’s standards.

Hillians were forced into a change at the back as Sam Fisk, who had appeared in every game so far this season, was unavailable so Sam Gore came into the starting XI at left back.

The game started brightly for Hill when with only a minute on the clock Neil Watts put in a cross that saw the stand in Croydon keeper hesitate and Rob O’Toole tapped in from five yards out to give the Hillians an early lead.
