Crawley Town goalkeeper Brian Jensen has made a faster than expected recovery from his dislocated finger.

It had been estimated it would keep him out of action for a total of ten weeks.

‘The Beast’ received the injury going in for a low challenge during Reds’ 2-2 draw with MK Dons on January 10.

Striker Matt Harrold had to go in goal for over half the game because there were no other goalkeepers at the club

Lewis Price and Scott Dutton were then signed on a loan basis to cover his absence from Crystal Palace and Wolves respectively.

But now Jensen could be recovered as soon as next week.

Interim manager Dean Saunders revealed he has recovered earlier than expected and is set to return to full training with the squad next week.

Josh Simpson is still three or four weeks away from fitness from his hamstring injury, Dean Leacock could be fit to face Doncaster on Tuesday night and Conor Henderson (ankle) and Matt Harrold (achilles) remain on the injury list.
