Bradfield started strongly, and played some good possession football, but found it hard to break down the well- organised Ardingly defence made up of George Southgate, Matt Price, Fergus Wood and captain Alex Summerfield.

Chances were made for both sides, and Bradfield finished the first half more dominantly.

Ardingly started the second at a high tempo, with Oscar Haynes Brown looking an increasing threat as he was fed by Oscar McConnell to make a couple of early chances.

Then, after a chess-like period of play, Chris Holman fed Haynes Brown through, and, after beating two players, Haynes Brown calmly finished into the corner of the goal. Bradfield worked hard to find the equaliser but couldn’t capitalise, leaving Ardingly to celebrate a famous victory.

Ardingly now look forward to the ISFA Cup final on Monday 9th March to be played against Hampton School at MK Dons FC.
