Crawley Eagles registered their tenth win of the season to end their campaign on a high.

Winning the toss and electing to field against Glyde & Beddingham CC the Eagles bowlers soon had the visitors in trouble as Atif Ali (2-39) Adil Mustapha (3-24) and Fazlan Nizamdeen (3-29) worked their way through the batting line to end the innings on 109 all out in 38 overs Matthew Blunt top scored with 25.

The Eagles openers wasted no time at all in chasing down the target Amaar Suddazahai (76) Tuffail Diar (30) scored 110 of only 16 overs to ensure a 10 wicket victory which resulted in the team securing third place in Division 3.

Eagles captain Imran said: “It’s been a good season for the team we played 15 matches and managed to win 10 of those which is a great achievement.

“The three games called off due to the weather probably cost us a promotion place this year but nevertheless everyone who has played in the first team has helped and contributed to a great season.”
