Liverpool could face a battle to retain the services of Pepe Reina after the goalkeeper’s father revealed his son would be keen on a move to Barcelona. (The Independent)

Manchester United are poised to make a move for Liverpool shot stopper Pepe Reina. The Spaniard, who is widely considered to be one of the best goalkeepers in the Barclays Premier League, has already attracted interest from Arsenal and Barcelona.

Tottenham Hotspur have offered €1m (£840,000) to Schalke to bring forward the transfer of the attacking midfielder Lewis Holtby from the summer to this window but the German club are holding out for €2m. (The Guardian)
