SUSSEX CCC has agreed to release Tom Smith from his contract to allow him the opportunity to join Middlesex CCC.
The club feels it's only fair to do this, as Tom has given great commitment to the club. In return for his hard work, the club believes Tom shouldn't be denied the opportunity to play regular first team cricket.

Tom Smith said: "Leaving Sussex is a shame for me, but I am hugely excited about the opportunities at Middlesex and playing at Lord's. I would like to thank everyone at Sussex for all their support and I wish the boys the best of luck in the future."

Mark Robinson, Professional Cricket Manager, said: "It will be sad to say goodbye to Tom, but I know we are doing the right thing, as he deserves his chance. I would like to thank Tom for all he has given us in his stay at the club."
