First World Bowls Tour in the south

HISTORY will be made at the end of this month when the first World Bowls Tour event ever to be staged in the south of England takes place at the Olympos Centre in Burgess Hill.
With live coverage on BBC TV, the International Open will feature the top 16 indoor bowlers in the world, joined by qualifiers from the UK, Australia, South Africa, USA, Canada, Hong Kong, Israel and New Zealand. Action will take place on the WBT's unique portable rink at Olympos Burgess Hill from November 23-30.


England captain Andy Thomson, one of the leading players on the World Bowls Tour, will be visiting the Olympos Centre today, Wednesday,to launch the second biggest event of the WBT season.


A former world number one and two times world champion, Thomson won two WBT titles last season and is enjoying the best form of his life.
