A SPECIAL activity day was laid on for youngsters at Southwick's Quayside Youth Centre.
Activities at the recently rebuilt centre, in Upper Kingston Lane, included inflatable games, dance workshops and pool.

People aged 11 to 16 were invited to the event, which was organised by Sussex Clubs for Young People, based in West Street, Shoreham.

Sussex Clubs for Young People chief executive Tony Pippen told the Herald the day had been a great success.

He said: "It went very well. We had between 60 and 70 young people attend from the local community.

"We had a number of different activities. The fire brigade was there with football, there was some graffiti art and dance and drama workshops. We had inflatable challenges, that kind of stuff.

"The whole point of the day was about encouraging people to try something different with a view to them doing it on a more permanent basis."
