A NINE-YEAR-OLD girl jumped from the world’s tallest mobile bungee crane on September 14 to raise money for Help for Heroes.

Amelia Walker, of Coniston Close, Sompting, plunged 250ft at the Jolly Farmer Pub in Horne and raised more than £600 for the charity.

She said: “When I got up there it was scary but it was over really quickly.

“Mum put it in the school news letter and when I came back everyone was asking about it.”

She said she wanted to do an even higher bungee jump next year and when she is 16 she hopes to do a skydive.

Amelia’s mum, Tracy Walker said: “I was both terrified and extremely proud.

“She absolutely loved it. It was a really good day.

“I was tempted for about five minutes to have a go but then it wore off.

“Everyone’s said how amazingly proud I should be and it’s been quite humbling.”
