The Met Office has issued a yellow weather warning and forecast very strong winds for the south east tomorrow (Thursday May 9).

Gusts of up to 26mph are expected to hit Crawley.

Winds of 50mph are likely to develop fairly widely inland with gusts of 55-65mph along exposed coasts in the south and west, said the Met Office.

A spokesman added: “The public should be aware that some disruption to transport is possible along with possible damage to trees.”
