THE fence put up by West Sussex County Council on land opposite the Red Lion pub in Shoreham has been removed.
The hazel wattle fence was put up on Friday, July 12, with a notice referencing ‘repeated unauthorised destructive activity on the site’.
But Natalie Parker, landlady of the Upper Shoreham Road pub, was adamant it was her land.
A West Sussex County Council spokesman said they were aware of local concerns relating to the fence and it had now been removed. The council is ‘in discussion’ with the landowner with regard to a possible replacement.
