A POPULAR pig and a dangerous Dr Who baddie were among the colourful characters who took part in a sponsored walk to help fund a terminally-ill teenager’s last wish.
Pepper Pig and a Dalek joined around 150 friends and family who walked from Hove Lagoon to Palace Pier in Brighton, raising £1,400 for the family of Southwick 15-year-old Charlie Hilton, who wants to visit Italy before he dies.
The walk was part of the Italian Job fundraising campaign set up by Charlie’s grandparents’ next-door neighbour Sylvia Whelan.
“It went really well,” said Sylvia.
“We were really lucky because in the morning it was absolutely pouring down.
“It’s absolutely amazing so many people got involved.
“It’s totally been a community effort and it’s really nice that people are willing to join in.”
