BOUNCY pensioner Fergus Hart is in his 90s – but still enjoys a spot of trampolining.
Despite a fall around Christmas 2014, he still attends fitness classes twice a week at East Preston and Kingston Village Hall.
Friends from Sampson Fitness joined him today to celebrate his 91st birthday after the morning session.
Fergus, of Horsemere Green Lane, Climping, said: “I have been coming for ten years. I had a triple heart bypass at 81 and when you finish that, you do so many exercises. I said I wanted to continue, so I was introduced to Sarah and I have been here ever since.
“I am still here, I am very glad to say. It’s very friendly, you are having a bit of a laugh and a coffee and chat.”
Fergus, whose actual birthday is on Saturday, said the classes keep him fit and not drinking or smoking helped.
Sarah Sampson, who runs the classes, said: “Fergus is lovely. He occasionally has his stick for confidence but he does not need it really.
“He has been exercising with me for more than ten years. He still goes on the trampoline and I am very proud of him. We keep it by the wall just in case but I do not help him, he does not need it. I am so happy that he is here for his 91st.”
