Police have cordoned off a pub in Three Bridges after a man was stabbed this morning (Thursday March 28).

A fight was reported at the Moonraker, in Three Bridges Road, early this morning and officers are still on the scene.

A man was airlifted to hospital with a stab wound to the chest.

He was taken to the Royal Sussex County Hospital in Brighton but his injury was not assessed as life threatening.

Another man has been taken by ambulance to East Surrey Hospital with facial injuries.

A police spokesman said: “Police were called at 8.10am on Thursday 28 March to a reported fight between two men at the Moonraker pub in Three Bridges Road, Crawley.

“Enquiries are at an early stage and no further information is available at present.”

The road in the immediate vicinity was briefly closed while the air ambulance attended but were re-opened by around 9.30am.
