The games, now in their sixth year, are thought to have raised £5,000 for charitable causes – a figure organisers think is a record for the fun event.

Over the course of two hours, teams accrued points, with the overall winners claiming £100 for their charity of choice.

And after some high-energy, thrilling encounters, the coveted golden frying pan went to Enable Me youth group, of Littlehampton.

Alfie Milner, 10, who won the obstacle race for the group, said: “It was really good and I had a lot of fun.

“I was nervous before but now I have won my golden frying pan and I think I will keep it forever.”

He added: “I would like to thank everybody who helped me, including Enable Me and my mum.”
