VIDEO: Death explored at Horsham Museum new exhibition

Waiting for Video...

The Empire of Death, a new free exhibition at Horsham Museum, develops social history by examining the theme of death.

With showcased exhibits from the ancient Egyptians, Romans, Mexicans, and Victorians, as well as right up to the modern day - it is a fascinating look at an often ‘taboo’ subject.

Curator Jason Semmens has been keen to examine death at the museum for some time, and even has his own 19th century human skull on display.

He hopes visitors will not only learn about cultures past, but also reflect on their life and death, and confront issues rarely raised in the our society.

Watch the video to see more from the Empire of Death exhibition, and read this week’s County Times (7/3/12) for the full story.
