VIDEO - £30m Central Sussex College campus opens its doors

Waiting for Video...

Central Sussex College in Haywards Heath has unveiled its new £30million building.

Work has been ongoing for a number of years at the Turners Hill Road campus but just before half-term phase three had been completed and students were able to use the new facilities on their return.

“The wait is finally over,” said vice-principal Richard Hailstone. “Phase two has been open for a while but the doors have been closed so we could only see what they were doing. We are now lucky enough to provide a first-class learning environment for our students. This part is the final piece of the puzzle.”

The new building boasts a new sports hall with sound proofing, new classrooms, music rooms and science labs.

The college is hosting a community showcase event on Saturday, March 23 between 10am and 2pm, where the community can look around the campus and see exhibitions and performances by students.
