A Yoga teacher from Worthing has been raising money for a mental health charity by doing a headstand every day for the month of February.

Linzi Rodina took on the ‘Upside Down Every Day for February’ challenge to raise funds for Coastal West Sussex Mind.

She said: “This is a charity very close to my heart after suffering with depression myself. The stigma attached to admitting to ‘I’m not okay right now’ needs to drop. There are angels working at Coastal West Sussex Mind and in all of mental health, and the NHS is suffering especially in this area.”

During the 28 challenge, Linzi did headstands in a variety of locations, including next to the Clock Tower in Brighton, Worthing railway station, the Brighton Dome, and the Worthing promenade opposite Heene Terrace, as well as outside The Gateway, Coastal West Sussex Mind’s office.

Linzi has raised more than £600 for Coastal West Sussex Mind so far. To support her, visit her JustGiving page at www.justgiving.com/fundraising/Linzi-Rodina.

Linzi holds Yoga classes in the Storm House in Worthing and her other one-to-one sessions and fitness training are also based in Worthing.
