UPDATE: Schoolgirl remains in '˜serious condition' following crash

A schoolgirl who was injured in a crash at a village bus stop remains in a serious condition, police have confirmed this afternoon (March 23).

Officers said the 11-year-old and a van collided along the B2159 Storrington Road in Thakeham yesterday morning.

The girl suffered serious head injurys and was treated at the scene by paramedics

The Air Ambulance was also called and flew her to St George’s Hospital, in Tooting, London.

Police confirmed today she is still in a serious condition at St George’s.
