Two car accident on A27 near Sompting

Ten people were involved in a road incident on the A27 between Sompting and Worthing last night, according to West Sussex Fire and Rescue.

Crews from Worthing were called at around 11.40pm to the accident where two cars were crumpled in a ditch.

A special rescue unit also attended, but no one was trapped and fire crews left soon after having helped with first aid, the fire spokesman added.

There were no reported serious injuries and ten people were released from the vehicles prior to the crews arriving, the rescue service confirmed.
