A 37-year-old woman from Henfield has died in hospital following an accident near Brighton earlier this month.
Sussex Police have named the woman as Samantha Cove, of Brook House Flat, High Street, Henfield.
Ms Cove was airlifted to St George’s Hospital in Tooting, London, in a critical condition following a collision on Saddlescombe Road, which links Devils Dyke Road in Brighton with the A281 at Poynings, on Saturday October 4.
She passed away in the hospital on Tuesday (October 21), a police spokesperson said.
A red Toyota Yaris driven by Ms Cove was involved in a collision with a green Jaguar XF at about 3.20pm.
The Jaguar was driven by a 52-year-old man from Milton Keynes, who was accompanied by his wife, 50, and son, 24.
His wife suffered chest injuries and he and his son slight injuries. They were treated at the Royal Sussex County Hospital, Brighton.
The police spokesperson said the coroner has been informed.
