Three arrested for arson in Gatwick hotel

Three people from Crawley have been arrested following a fire in a Gatwick hotel on Tuesday (August 6).

Police and West Sussex Fire and Rescue attended the incident in the laundry room of the Premier Inn, at Gatwick Airport, at around 3.30pm.

Staff and guests were safely evacuated from the hotel and there were no injuries.

Sussex Police said two women aged 20 and 18 and a 17-year-old boy were arrested on suspicion of arson with intent to endanger life.

All three have been bailed until mid September.
