Thousands expected at Haywards Heath street festival

Last year's Making Waves festival on The Broadway

Last year's Making Waves festival on The Broadway

A street festival is expecting thousands of people to join the party in Haywards Heath on August 24.

The family friendly festival Making Waves on The Broadway has become increasingly popular in recent years, regularly welcoming more than 3,000 people.

The event is a showcase of cover bands, original bands, solo artists and choirs whilst there will be street entertainers and face painting for our younger visitors.

The Broadway is closed to traffic with additional seating areas extending to the road from cafes, bars and restaurants.

From 11am-10pm 18 acts will perform from stages at either end of The Broadway.

Tickets are £7 and free for children under 11.

Organisers are advising people to buy their tickets early as they are hoping for a record turnout.

Making Waves on Broadway is predominantly run by volunteers, if you want to help call 01444 800045.
