Talent to raise money for Chichester causes

A SING for Charity showcase is being held next week to raise money for good causes.

Chichester singer and teacher Bubsie Yates has invited all her singing pupils, aged from seven to 60, to take part and raise funds for three charities – St Wilfrid’s Hospice, the Chichester Foodbank run by Orchard Street Family Church, and Shooting Star CHASE (Children’s Hospice).

The showcase of talent will be held at the New Park Centre, in Chichester, on Friday, March 29, from 7pm–9pm.

“It’ll be such a great performance experience for everyone I teach and work with, and I really hope it is a success so we can do it on a termly basis and raise funds for local charities at the same time,” she said.

Bubsie is well-known in the Chichester area for performing with her band, Bubsie and the Beat Brothers, as well as for teaching.

She recently started a community choir, meeting from 7.30pm–9pm on Mondays at the Orchard Street Family Church.

Tickets for the showcase cost £5 for adults and £3 for children or students and will be available to purchase from 6.45pm on the night of the concert.
