Surprise in store at festive fair

THERE will be fun for the whole family with a ‘big surprise’ in store at Steyning C of E Primary School’s Christmas fair this
year.

The school at Shooting Field, Steyning, is in the process of organising the final touches to its fair and promises a surprise for everyone.

The event takes place tomorrow from 5pm to 7pm.

As well as Father Christmas, there will be a roller disco for children of all ages, stalls with children’s games and activity stalls where children can decorate a tree biscuit or make a tree decoration.

Head teacher Chris Luckin said: “We are looking forward to a successful Christmas fair as we are raising funds to replace the interactive whiteboards that are coming to the end of their useful life.

“These boards are now an essential and integral part of the teaching strategies.

“We are also hoping to make this a memorable and magical event for children when they visit the live Lapland visitor.”

Some of the Steyning High Street businesses will be exhibiting at the fair, and include Flicker Rose gift shop, Steyning Bookshop and Katherine Lawrie Jewellery.

The event is run by Friends of Steyning Primary School (FSPS) a group of parents and staff who host events and fundraisers throughout the year.

Entrance is 50p for adults and children go free.
