A fund for a teenager with cancer has exceeded £20,000 thanks to pupils from her former school. Oriel High School sixth formers raised more than £1,000 through collections and and sponsored leg waxing for Georgina Woodley, 18.

Gee Gee (as she is known), of Three Bridges, has been battling rhabdomyosarcoma for more than a year and the fund is to help find a new treatment. Mum Carol said: “Her spirit and her determination are still fighting strong to beat this horrid disease.” Pictured, Gee Gee with sister Cara, 20. www.gofundme.com/Gee-Gee-Fund
