Committee members and friends of Stedham Memorial Hall gathered to receive a generous donation.

The cheque was donated by The Grange Community Association at a presentation ceremony on Tuesday, October 25.

The cheque was presented to William Crawshaw, chairman of the Hall Committee, by Joan Hursthouse, chair of The Grange Trustees.

The money will be used to contribute towards the cost of installing panels in the ceiling to provide a major improvement to the acoustics of the hall.

Amongst those attending the cheque presentation were Caroline Frost, Sam St Clair-Ford, Joan Hursthouse, Bill Crawshaw, Sue Payne, Lewis Blumlein and Emma Blumlein.

William Crawshaw thanked the trustees for their grant which will make a great difference to events such as meetings, lunches, classes and more.

The Memorial Hall provides excellent facilities for many local events with a fully equipped kitchen, projection and sound equipment.

The committee are always keen to hear from any groups such as yoga or pilates classes, business meetings, art or language groups or others who would like to hire the Hall at reasonable rates.
