LOCAL businesses supported a raffle in aid of the Southwick Green branch of the Royal British Legion.
It was held on bank holiday Monday at Southwick Sports and Social Club, in The Twitten, Southwick, which has adopted the branch as its charity for the year.
Branch secretary Patricia Downes said: “A total of £151 was raised, which was amazing.
“Donations of prizes had been given by Cubitt and West estate agents in Southwick Square, a hair care voucher from Fine to Fabulous in Manor Hall Road, a tour for four people from Shoreham Port Authority, cream tea and pot plant from Mayberry Garden Centre, along with many other prizes.
“It was a real boost for the branch and we would like to thank all concerned for their generosity, in particular the local businesses themselves.”
