ADUR Photographic Society’s first exhibition proved a great success.

Not only is the club membership list now full, but there are 18 on the waiting list already, with more enquiries coming in.

Displays of photographs were enjoyed by shoppers at the Holmbush Centre in Shoreham on Saturday.

Treasurer Dennis Hunt said: “The exhibition exceeded expectations, such that by midday, we had filled all available membership spaces – there were around 16 up for grabs.

“It would seem that the format of our group, which will offer a much more practical and hands-on approach, is in great demand.”

“The response was extremely positive, both from experienced photographers and from complete novices, who are keen to get to grips with their cameras improve their photography.”

Trevor Gellard, an experienced local judge and highly-regarded member of the Royal Photographic Society, attended and said he was interested in the format of the group, which aims to provide instruction in the use of cameras

The club was launched at Southwick Community Centre last month. Visit adur-ps.org.uk for more information.
