SLIMMERS paced around the duck pond at Clays Hill, Bramber, to raise money for Cancer Research UK.
Members of Steyning Slimming World took part in Race at Your Place, as part of a national event running in all Slimming World groups across the UK.
Groups could choose the distance and could walk or run, so everyone could join in.
Carol Chamberlain, who runs the Steyning group, said: “Our Race at Your Place event was a great reason for all of us to get active and to do as much or as little as we could – it was all in a good cause.
“When you’re overweight you can struggle with doing any exercise, so it can be daunting to take the first steps to becoming more active – but it’s definitely worth it.
“There’s no rule that says being active has to involve a gym or running shorts, it can be as simple as walking to collect the children from school or hitting the dance floor on a night out.”
