Sledgehammer used to smash church artefacts

A sledgehammer is thought to have used to smash church artefacts at a village property on the edge of Horsham.

More than £20,000 worth of damage was caused to the artefacts, which included a calfstone from a church in east London, at the property in Broadwater Lane, Copsale.

Police are appealing to anyone who saw or heard anything suspicious in the area in the days leading up to the discovery of the damage on Wednesday March 8 to report online at https://sussex.police.uk/contact-us/response-to-appeal/ quoting serial 947 of 08/03.
