EMERGENCY services had to block off a Tarring road last night after a sinkhole opened up.
A fire crew from Worthing headed to South Street after getting the call from a passer-by just before 7pm yesterday (June 18).
“They said it was a sinkhole approximately 18 inches in diameter in the roadway,” said a spokeswoman this morning.
“They closed the southbound carriageway and made the area safe.”
