TWO Shoreham College pupils have scooped second place positions in the annual London South Independent Schools Association art competition.

Joshua Bird, 16, was second in the key stage four category, and Farquhar Amyrilis, five, was second in the key stage one and two photgraphy category.

A school spokesperson said: “The highly-contested competition is a wonderful opportunity for schools to showcase their students’ art and draws around 2,000 entries across the regions.”

Organisers said that as well as offering independent schools the chance to showcase their students’ artwork, it gave teachers across the region the opportunity to share best practice and ideas.
