A MAN broke his neck diving into the outdoor swimming pool at Shoreham College on Saturday.
The 23-year-old Shoreham man was among a group of men and women who are not connected to the college.
Emergency services were called to the college, in St Julian’s Lane, Shoreham, in the early hours on Saturday.
The man had been injured after diving into the outdoor swimming pool, which the group had accessed without permission.
He was airlifted by Kent, Surrey and Sussex Air Ambulance to Southampton Hospital with a broken neck and serious head injury. He remains in hospital in a critical but stable condition.
Three other people, two 22-year-old men and a 26-year-old woman, have been arrested on suspicion of criminal damage, being in the premises and drug offences.
Dean Stevens, 22, of Ormonde Way, Shoreham, has been charged with possession of a class C drug and possession of a class A drug. He will appear at Worthing Magistrates Court on November 6.
The other two were released without charge.
