MORE than 200 Scouts of all ages and their leaders celebrated St George’s Day at St Mary de Hauha Church in Shoreham last Sunday.

The service was attened by members from 1st Shoreham, 3rd Shoreham and 2nd Southwick Scout groups.

St George is the patron saint of Scouting all over the world, as well as being the patron saint for England.

Beavers, Cubs, Scouts, Explorers, Network and leaders all reaffirmed their Promise during the ceremony.

A collection was made in aid of Chestnut Tree House children’s hospice, before Scouts paraded their flags outside the church. Afterwards they gathered with their families at each of the groups’ headquarters to enjoy some refreshments and play games.
