Horley Town Council’s (HTC) draft Town Plan for 2013-2016 is out for public consultation until June 30.
The plan lays out strategies to enhance development of the town in terms of education, employment, environment and culture.
The plan, which can be picked up from The council offices, in Albert Road, or viewed online, sets out an aim to improve public transport and seek additional allotments to meet the increasing demand.
Another aim is to work with the county council to provide a sixth form and 16+ education facility in the town.
Another aim is to enhance access and facilities for the Horley Recreation Ground and all other open spaces.
Business plans include the aim to attract more ‘high tech businesses’, engage more with the Gatwick Diamond and create new business park facilities.
It sets out an aim to encourage more ‘niche independent retailers’ to the town centre and to set up health circuits and exercise areas.
