There are some really fun activities you can do over February half term – invite your friends round for an animal themed sleepover, or do some detective work in your home and garden to find out what animals live nearby or you could raise money for animals by making and selling simple birdfeeders made from everyday items like hollowed out oranges.
But you have got to be quick because time is running out to get the toolkit before half term. If you register online by midnight on February 12 you will be sent an RSPCA Animal Champion toolkit filled with these ideas and more that you can do over half term with your friends and family.
Complete five of the challenges in the toolkit including at least one fundraising activity and you will be sent a certificate and a cool pin badge to show that you really are a champion for animals!
It costs £15 for parents to sign up at www.rspca.org.uk/animalchampion and in return they will get sent the toolkit plus a Challenge checklist poster to keep track of your progress. Video updates will be regularly posted on the site from our inspectors and there are links for parents to show that their children have completed five activities, and how to send in the money they have raised. In return they will get an RSPCA Animal Champion certificate and award.
